after the "smooshing" takes place you can either fry the results on a hot comal which will produce your basic tortilla or you can continue on to the next panada step NOTE: no self-respecting indigenous person makes tortillas this way - a "proper" tortilla is formed by hand in an amazing display of dexterity and artisanship
