it is amazingly easy to grow things here in Belize - the yellowish thing in the center of this picture is a fruit called the "cho cho". It is kind of like a cross between a pear and a potato - last Friday I stuck one in the ground and today the leaves of the cho cho vine have emerged - presumably to make more cho cho's - I'll keep you posted (BTW the cho cho is nice to cook with - I just treat it like a potato and add it to any of my soups - taste-wise it seems to adapt to whatever environment that it ends up in)  Posted by Picasa
