this is the flower of the wild ginger that grows locally - I have not used the root yet, but there is a long bud kinda thing that is excelent in caldo

not as flashy as some of his brethren - he did have a rather unique evasive maneuver - a convulsive kind of flip flop thing that earned him high style points

the "bug of the day" is yet another caterpillar - this one of the "one horned" variety

each one of those hairy looking things will cause much pain - maybe Patrona just brushed it once and managed to get three stings

kinda looks like he could be the mascot for the University of Oregon

Welcome to today's "Bug of the Day" - this guy stung the young lady that Kathy is studying the Bible with 3 times while whe was picking limes - not sure how that happened but he is indeed an interesting critter

We would like to introduce everyone to our brand new son-in-law Isaac Miller - he and Jaclyn were married last week in a surprise wedding (surprise for all of those in attendance who thought that they were attending a graduation party for Isaac who had just graduated from Art School)
