this is Mr Mo and his long-time companion who as far as I know doesn't have a name and while she probably is capable of speech, you couldn't prove it by me - at some point we will need to address Jehovah's view of marriage, but for now that particular issue is a back-burner one........................=) Posted by Picasa

Mr Mo knows a lot about what is in the Bible - we spend most of our time re-arranging and clarifying his understanding. Sometimes his eyes just "light up" - I think that Sunday he will come to his first meeting at the Kingdom Hall. He has kind of given up on his Kekchi Bible and here is looking up a scripture in Ecclesiastes in the New World Translation Reference Bible Posted by Picasa

This is my Bible student Mr Mo - he is my favorite oldest Bible student. I'm not sure how old Mr Mo is but he can run with the energizer bunny! He is always doing something - but at 2 PM on Friday he has a appointment - with me......... and he always keeps it. What a really neat man - I have grown to love Mr Mo Posted by Picasa

the chachalaca is one of the noisiest birds on the planet which coupled with the fact that they travel in large "herds" and make the majority of their noise at first light, makes the use of an alarm clock completely unnecessary in our neighborhood Posted by Picasa

this is either a pair of siamese butterflies or it's mating time in Belize - these two were really beautiful with natural light, but the pictures didn't turn out so I had to add some artificial light in order to see them Posted by Picasa

it was a really strange looking critter (that was last seen heading in the general direction of the craboo tree) Posted by Picasa

here you can see the "arms" extended away from the head Posted by Picasa

the bug of the day is a really strange character, it looked like a moving pile of small dry leaves and sticks - but it was alive. As you can see it had four legs and its tail looked exactly like a dry leaf. The head is the reddish looking thing at the upper right (it is moving left to right) with its arms pulled in tight on both sides of it. Posted by Picasa

raindrop covered coco leaf, the coco is a ground fruit that is better than any potato that you ever ate (in soups - not baked......=) Posted by Picasa

i just love these leaves Posted by Picasa

they second variety Posted by Picasa

the next two pictures of little white flowers are from two completely different orchids - it is amazing how much they look alike Posted by Picasa

i used to have one of these "in" my house - the diefenbachia grow wild here - the blur to the left is rosie, along with the dumb cane in this picture is the tree of life and a ginger plant Posted by Picasa

a young pineapple emerges Posted by Picasa

guava ( the pink fleshed kind) another fruit that I am not that fond of - the white one is pretty good though Posted by Picasa

nice big stalk of cahoon nuts, like almost everything down here these are edible. Inside the nut (the size of a large lemon) is a crunchy nut-like white center - the hard part is that they are REALLY hard to open. Smashing them between two rocks is the proven method for opening them. I tried a big hammer and they shot off into the distance like dangerously un-guided missles , hitting a former friend ..........=( Posted by Picasa

not at all sure what this rams horn looking thing is but i thought it was kinda cool looking Posted by Picasa

this is the flower of the green coconut Posted by Picasa

these are the fruit of the craboo tree, loved by many but not my favorite Posted by Picasa

the blossom of the Belizean cherry tree Posted by Picasa

nice architecture, but i had to shoot quickly as i carefully held my breath - all the while hoping that nobody would notice my presence Posted by Picasa

nap time again Posted by Picasa

somewhere, not far from here is an armadillo with a highly elevated heart rate, it looks like stoutie was pretty deep into his burrow Posted by Picasa

stout and rosie spent the morning "on the hunt" (Lucy prefers a more relaxed pace and stayed home to relax) Posted by Picasa

here is Rosie tormenting a toad the size of a cantalope - eventually she lost her focus and the toad made his escape Posted by Picasa
