the last mugg shot for Choochie - they are all really fun to have around, but this little girl is special Posted by Picasa

She's a sweetie - I'll try to get some shots of the other two quarter-wits in the morning Posted by Picasa

She is really a character and looks just like her mom - who, by the way last night assassinated an opossom and delivered the corpus delecti to the kitchen in a misguided attempt to impress us - not wanting to have to deal with the dismemberment process I tossed the carcass into a bucket and took it with me while I took Francisco home from house-sitting - a hundred yards down the road the thing came back to life (playing opossom - no doubt) and we screeched to a halt to get it out of the car before it attacked us - AH, life in Belize.....a never-ending adventure Posted by Picasa

Getting pictures of these midget dogs is a real challenge - every time I get down on the ground to get a shot - they attack. This is the little "toughie" that we have named "Choochie" - she fears nothing and is a never-ending source of giggles and grins - she is "very" strong and always on the move Posted by Picasa

these are "some" of the fruits that are bearing in abundance at the moment -in the right hand foreground are two malee apples, then to the left is a bunch of red bananas (these are kinda stubby), then three oranges (one greenish and the other two more yellow) in the back is a cocao (ku-cow) from which the seeds are taken then dried and ground and then our chocolate drink comes, then on the right side is a couple of grapefruit and in the center is a star apple - ALL very nice to eat Posted by Picasa

This picture is for my new friend Alexandra - she is attending college in Kentucky and misses the fruits from her home - these are her favorites - the malee apple - I tested one just to be sure - yes, Alex they are VERY juicy - and sweet Posted by Picasa

stability still seems to be a real issue with the gang of three, their up - their down, their over - with the very low center of gravity the fall is never far, but always funny -

follow-up on the scorpion picture of a day or two ago - the deceased's friend was hiding under a neat rock that I wanted to haul home the other day and WHAM just that quick I got a double yellow-jacket sting. Three hours later is was but a slightly lingering bad memory - life in the jungle....=) Posted by Picasa

prepared to be "bored to death" with puppy pictures - I will do my best not to do more than one or two a day......=)  Posted by Picasa

this is our rough-tough little man dog - he hasn't developed a swagger YET - it's kinda hard to swagger when your belly drags the ground - these puppies are very well fed Posted by Picasa

here are some other shots of the new mutts Posted by Picasa

When you look at the whole bodies of the other two they are pretty easy to tell apart - but the faces are really similiar. This is the other female. Posted by Picasa

She has her mother's coloration and I think is going to be a really nice looking dog. Posted by Picasa

Here are a few pictures of the puppies - this is the smallest one(not by much). She is a female and by far the most adventerous. Posted by Picasa

you'll never guess what I found "volunteering" in the cilantro bed - "honest officer it aint mine - i swear" - my "old personality" wanted to leave them and see just how big they could grow, but I knew that they had to go ..........=)Posted by Picasa

With the great Stout-meister on duty the airborne invader never had a chance  Posted by Picasa

"Stoutie" thrashed all signs of life from the intruder and then tossed it around like a toy till he was tired  Posted by Picasa

This morning, Stout - the wonder dog, was set-upon by a rogue coconut. Since Stout is not nearly as dumb as he looks, he knew immediately that the best defense was a good offense - and he "pounced" on the intruder. Posted by Picasa

this is, in the truest sense of the phrase, a "dog pile" Posted by Picasa

this character had the extreem misfortune to cross my path when I had a framing hammer in my hand - we have a very strict "zero tolerance" policy regarding scorpions - and he is now nothing more than a bad memory Posted by Picasa

feeding time can get pretty exciting, with all of the participants jockying for position, and all the while Miss Bo just lays there - it looks as though we will see some eyes by morning Posted by Picasa

Miss "Bo" is really a good mommy - she takes very good care of her little ones Posted by Picasa

Tona's husband Re - (as in red) he - no, is a wonderful student of the Bible - he has much to "un-learn" .......but he wants to know and he loves to ask questions Posted by Picasa

this is "our" very good friend Tona with whom we are regularly studying the Bible - later she will cook this iguana and if we are fortunate we will be able share in the meal - YES, I know that it may sound repulsive - but to many others, the idea of eating a pork chop is equally so Posted by Picasa

in this part of the world they are known as "bamboo chicken" and the reason is that they are plentiful and very good to eat Posted by Picasa

It may be real difficult for you to understand since you live in a completely different world, but iguana is a regular part of the diet for many who live here. Posted by Picasa
