late today this terantula made two attempts to invade the kitchen - Cleo thwarted both attempts and I convinced him/her to go back outside and play Posted by Picasa


my friend Alejandro stopped by and wanted to take me fishing - since "my mama didn't raise no fools" I promptly grabbed my fishing pole and off we went - he brought along a grasshopper for bait - sad to say only a few bites and no fish - the water was very high Posted by Picasa

oooooops - Julie's son Kevin, also comes along to the study - he too, doesn't say much -but his grandma sure does love him - and he has a very nice Pooh Bear hat Posted by Picasa


Camila's little sister Manda is funny, fickle, and fearless - and...... missing a tooth - the gang went home with coconuts, plantains, and mucho guava's Posted by Picasa


since moving out to the farm we have been diligently trying to get a picture of the blue morpho butterfly - they are stunningly beautiful - you can just barely see this one below the feeder tray - the are on the move almost constantly Posted by Picasa


Cedrick, the older boy is a "full time job" and an "eating machine" Posted by Picasa


while we were having lunch downstairs Kathy was having her study upstairs with our neighbor Julie - her mother comes along and she too asks some great questions - the baby doesn't say much Posted by Picasa

Bruce is a very enjoyable man (with a great sense of humor) and he has a very nice family Posted by Picasa


my friend Bruce, who manages the local Farm Supply Store came to deliver some metal roofing today and I always make sure that he brings the whole family and we have lunch and a bit of time "in the bush" Posted by Picasa

Calistro and some of the girls enjoyed some football after we ate - playing on a very familiar field - they along with Calistro's 23 brothers and sister and their families had lived on this property until just 5 years ago Posted by Picasa

Josiah - aka JJ or, as I call him "double J" - loves his mom and sisters very much Posted by Picasa


we played some games, encouraged one another, and enjoyed a nice meal - it was a very upbuilding day Posted by Picasa


Sunday after the meeting we had the Ack family over for caldo and tortillas - Calistro, Teresita, Adelita, Senida, Mirtha, Andrea, Jessica, Kristy, and Josiah Posted by Picasa


this is another friend - Manuel - we are studying the What Does God Require brochure and he has an amazingly curious and receptive mind - he's pretty good at Sequence too Posted by Picasa


this is my young friend Renaldo - he comes by most every Saturday afternoon to teach me jungle lore and amaze me with his personality - this past Saturday I helped him, his brother, and his mother haul six sacks of corn and two large bundles of firewood from the remote farm to their house Posted by Picasa
