this sweet blue thing (obviously in the iris clan) is currently set as my desktop 

other than "truly beautiful", I am not at all sure what these are

here is a real beauty  

what you see here is a green-headed tree snake and the "north end of a south-bound frog" as the frog fulfills his role as the entree of the mid- day meal 

a pretty "climber" 

these must belong to the same family as the iris 

what a wonderful variety of textures and colors 

you probably recognize this "houseplant" - it is almost a "weed" in this part of the world 

somewhere there is probably a gigantic book that has the names of all of these flowers (and it probably costs $300................=( I never get tired of taking pictures of this blue one 

the last one for today is some sort of blooming cactus

this is the larger and showier variety - it's blossoms are a bit "past", but it is still very attractive 

there are two pictures of the helaconia, this one is fairly small 

this is the bug of the day - it took both puppies to turn this guy upside down last night - check out those pinchers 

i love these members of the philodendron family - they look like the were growing under a place where a careless painter worked 

here is the promised proof that Josiah can indeed ride his bicycle - here he flies past Andrea on what was probably his 500th revolution of the day

i am afraid that i don't have a name for this one either - but it is very nice

the last picture for tonight IS a flower - these blossoms are from one of our orchids and in the background you can see the host tree, a "plum mango" (a good mango, but certainly not the best)
 

this too is not a flower, it is Josiah's sister Jessica "wearing" a plastic bag on her head - she is SO funny. I call her Jessi-qua (which in Kekchi translates - Jessi-corn tortilla....=) 

yes, I know this is not a flower - this is my brother Josiah and his bicycle and soon I will prove to you that Josiah can ride the thing
